Exposing Insurance Fraud
Audere helped uncover an insurance fraud scheme that resulted in one of the largest cross-border, lawsuits seen in the West.
The perpetrator faked serious injury and sued for over USD 100 million, with the financial backing of post-Communist CEE politicians.
Our investigators proved, through surveillance, that the injury was fake, but also that politicians had “invested” close to USD 1 million in legal fees in the hope of returns. The perpetrator lost the lawsuit (which had run for close to six years), and he was liable for the USD 2 million legal fees of Audere’s client.
